Carl Nielsen Museum nominated for European Museum of the Year 2025

We are very proud to share that the Carl Nielsen Museum has been nominated for European Museum of the Year 2025.

We portrayed Nielsen's creative energy through light and sound, guiding visitors to intuitively understand his work by being immersed in a carefully orchestrated sensory experience. Our approach to the challenge of creating deeply and resonantly immersive spaces is to ask visitors to leave the ordinary world behind, moving into a very different place where different rules apply. As they cross the threshold, they take their first step on an absorbing journey where they will encounter moments of calm, drama and joy.
