Imagining the Iolaire Centre – A New Vision for Maritime Storytelling

We are delighted to share visuals from our recent work for the Iolaire Centre in the Outer Hebrides. With this early concept work, we began to imagine what a maritime centre that told stories about the sea in a different way might look like - a poetic, moving, emotional and personal perspective on our relationship with the wild and wilful ocean.

This is an ambitious and deeply community-minded project. As well as keeping the stories of those lost in the Iolaire Disaster of 1919 alive, it will honour their memory by sharing their maritime skills and values, and showing the realities of life in a small island community.
