Expo ‘86 Vancouver

Cel Phelan carried out research, storyline development and scripting on behalf of the Design Research Unit. Steve Simons designed and managed the construction of the pavilion at Expo ’86 in Vancouver, again for DRU.

​The theme of the Expo was transport and displays highlighted Britain’s achievements in this area.

​This was the beginning of a collaboration that was to lead to the founding of Event later the same year.
