Londinium

Roman Gallery, Museum of London

Roman London spanned four centuries and much is known about both the people and their impact upon the city of London.

In the Roman Gallery, the Museum of London’s important collections of Roman artefacts illuminate the rich history of Roman London, from the wooden military settlement burned down by Boudicca to the stone-built magnificence of the 2nd century city.

Visitors explore a city street and Roman dining rooms, discovering in detail how the people of Roman London lived.
