2000 Years in London

Tower Hill Pageant and Archaeological Museum

The Tower Hill Pageant relived the history of the City and Port of London through displays and reconstructions. Visitors embarked in computer controlled vehicles which took them on a ride through the life of London over the previous 2000 years.

These discoveries were presented alongside important structures recovered during the waterfront excavations in the city.

Displays in the associated Archeological Museum recorded portable finds uncovered by the Museum of London’s field archaeology team.

The project was undertaken by a private developer in conjunction with the Museum of London.
