The Burrell Collection Announces its Opening Date

The Burrell Collection has revealed that the museum is set to re-open on March 29th 2022, following a six-year refurb. We began working with the museum team in 2014, masterplanning the new museum and supporting a funding bid.

The renewed museum features a new central stairway and welcomes visitors into its open store on the lower floor for the first time. For the first time, we opened up two new upper floors of gallery space and made 90% of the collections accessible, compared to just 20% before. The expansion makes for a total of 225 displays spread across 24 galleries, with an updated digital offering including video walls, interactives and hybrid systems.
