The Burrell Collection Makes the Museums + Heritage Awards Shortlist

Amazing news — we're beyond proud to see that the Burrell Collection has been shortlisted for best Permanent Exhibition of the Year at this year's Museums + Heritage Awards.

This year's awards saw a record number of entries, up nearly 50% on any previous year, so making the shortlist feels all the more special.

Since reopening to the public, the Burrell Collection have welcomed more than 500,000 visitors with reports revealing that the museums has brought a £19.9 million economic benefit to Glasglow and £21.1 million for Scotland. ⁠Meanwhile, a recent visitor survey which stated that 88% of people stated that 'visiting a Glasgow Museum was either very or quite an important factor in their decision to visit the city'.
