The Multifaceted Hong Kong Exhibition Series Opens!

We’re delighted to share that the first phase of the Hong Kong Museum of History’s renovation is open to the public.

The Multifaceted Hong Kong Exhibition Series offers an in-depth exploration of Hong Kong’s community and global connections, through a comprehensive look at the city’s unique urban story across three temporary galleries.

Pictured here are highlights from Estórias Lusas – Stories of the Hong Kong Portuguese gallery.

From the mid-19th century onwards, Portuguese migrants arriving from Macao formed one of Hong Kong’s earliest communities. The gallery features over 250 objects from Portuguese families and organisations, along with more than 30 interactive and audiovisual experiences. Estórias Lusas traces the community’s contributions to sport, culture, business and public life, while showcasing their unique cultural identity.
