Barbara Acan

Barbara has worked across a range of disciplines within the built environment sector, bringing experience in architecture, interior and furniture design roles. She is a trained architect with a passion for hands-on approach to creativity. Barbara has led business development for design studios since 2015 and works to secure exciting projects that keep us at the forefront of experience design. From pitch development to coordinating teams, she brings attentiveness to detail, a rigorous approach and creative integrity in the management of bids and competitions.

Barbara is an advocate for inclusion and cultural representation in the landscape of architectural practice. She has explored representation in the form of her MA thesis - that analysed both the fissure and hybridisation of cultural representations in architecture - and via mentoring underrepresented students studying STEM degrees.
