Jim Broughton

Director of Strategy

About

Jim works across the studio, advising on museum policy and practice and heading up our New Business team.

Before joining us, Jim spent 20 years client-side working for large cultural institutions including the British Museum and Natural History Museum. A designer by training, his career has ranged from interpretation to cultural diplomacy. He has partnered UK museums with peer institutions in Asia, Latin America and the Middle East – most notably leading the team advising the Abu Dhabi government on the new Zayed National Museum.

Jim brings an understanding of how big organisations think and work, and an extensive network of international contacts. He works with clients as a project ambassador – on hand to steer major projects through their myriad challenges. Jim's recent projects include the renewal of the Hong Kong Museum of History and the masterplan for the Museum of Natural History, Berlin.
