When the old workhouse and 19th-century church in Carrick on Shannon, a small town in County Leitrim, came into a state of neglect, we helped to protect them by transforming them into memorials to the town’s history. Displays in the church told the story of Christian belief, revolt and suppression, while the workhouse became a monument to the people who have died from disease and deprivation throughout history.
